“Empowering Communities. Changing Livelihoods.”

Project Trishna is a social venture by Footsteps Bangladesh which empowers communities through safe water access. The project utilizes Corporate Social Responsibility and donor funds to implement safe water systems in marginalized communities suffering from water shortage and contamination. The project then works with communities to establish community funding models which will sustain the system without donor support in the long run.

We have three main areas of focus:

Safe Water for Children in Schools
Safe Water for pedestrians in public spaces
Safe water for workers in garment factories

Footsteps Bangladesh is a youth-led development-based social enterprise which designs ventures to address various problems that exist in our communities. Footsteps recognizes and understands the lack of interventions at the local level and especially problems faced by lower-income families. The organization is on a mission to empower such communities by integrating social technology and knowledge capacity and to achieve a vision where every community is empowered to efficiently address these barriers independently.
